30th May 2017

Mainspring Fund Services is pleased to announce its first business development appointment, with Natasha Head joining its growing team as ‘Sales Director – Custody and Nominee’. Natasha has more than five years’ experience in tax-efficient investments.

Mainspring’s Custody and Nominee division provides a managed account infrastructure and administration services for managers making tax-efficient investments. These include investments captured by the Enterprise Investment Scheme (“EIS”) and Seed Enterprise Investment Scheme (“SEIS”), as well as other investments affording Inheritance Tax (“IHT”) and related advantages. Mainspring also operates a private equity division that provides full administration services for private equity funds, co-investments and related structures.

Natasha joins Mainspring from RW Blears, a specialist law and advisory firm covering tax-efficient investments. Here, she was responsible for the management of the legal business and developing relationships with the wider industry, through her involvement with the Enterprise Investment Scheme Association (“EISA”). Whilst at RW Blears, Natasha co-founded Green Shoots, a forum providing an educational and networking environment for younger members of the EIS industry.

Natasha commented: ”Mainspring’s reputation in the EIS/SEIS and IHT market is very strong and I am excited to join its team. The firm’s focus on customer service and supporting its clients as they grow is very attractive. My previous experience has certainly put me in good stead for the challenges ahead and I look forward to contributing to the growing success of the business.”

Stephen Geddes, CEO of Mainspring, added: “Our achievements at Mainspring come only as a result of the talented people that work with us and the culture they have helped us establish. Natasha joins us from a strong background in the EIS industry, and we are confident she will add great value to our business.”
